On Saturday 25 June, Sevenoaks hosted 40 keen young creative writers from local primary schools. The Year 5 children came in and enjoyed a workshop designed to stimulate exciting creative writing about setting.
Year 8 and Year 10 students from Sevenoaks School led some excellent starter activities, including drama games and activities exploring the five senses. Then the children headed outside to explore the natural world and generate plenty of ideas for their woodland settings.
After break, where everyone enjoyed some delicious cookies, the Sevenoaks students helped the primary children to develop their ideas and they wrote some spectacular pieces of creative writing, which were shared at the end. Well done to all who participated!
