Year 7 pupils Max Chen, Dehong Kong, Arnav George and Jason Ye are international team winners in the Chemical Educational Foundation 2022 You Be The Chemist Challenge. More than 9000 students from six countries and over 200 schools competed.
The interactive academic team contest, based in the US, encourages students in Years 6 to 9 to explore chemistry concepts and their real-world applications. Students were assessed on a virtual challenge of advanced chemistry topics and created their own educational videos. You can watch the team’s video here.
The group finished in the top ten per cent of all teams competing to earn their spot as the international winners. Congratulations!
