On Monday of Enrichment Week, all of Year 7 visited Fishbourne Roman Palace in Sussex. They have been studying stories connected with this important site in lessons, and a trip to the location where King Cogidubnus lived really brought their studies to life. Whilst there they took part in a number of activities, including Roman food tasting, legionary military drills, wax-tablet writing and a series of Roman games and pastimes. They also had the chance to look round the museum, palace mosaics and gardens. The sun shone, and, despite rather too much time spent on the M25 on the return journey, a good time was had by all.
