We had a fantastic Year 10 SSTC production of Great Expectations last week. Adapted from Dickens’s novel by Neil Bartlett, it was an ensemble piece centred around the protagonist, Pip, who was fluidly and convincingly played by three different actors: Olivia Scott-Smith, Freddie Spence and Andrew Stuart. The darkness of Pip’s world was peopled by vivid characters and given an unsettling edge by a menacing score.
