Sevenoaks School was delighted to welcome the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Team to The Sennocke Centre this week.
The players and coaches visited on Tuesday 13 March to demonstrate their sport and introduce the students to the sport. A group of 80 Year 9 students were shown how wheelchair rugby is played along with its different tactics and techniques.
The second session involved three school teams from Years 10, 11 and 12 playing wheelchair rugby in the sports hall. It was a fantastic occasion organised by the school through Roger Alwen (OS 1960), David Pond (Head of GBWCR) and Andrew Flatt (trustee GBWCR). The GBWCR team coach Lee Stutely did an excellent job in managing all the sessions.
