There will be 211 university entrants this year from Sevenoaks School to leading universities across the world.
Eighty-seven per cent took up a place at one of the Russell Group universities. Of these, 29 Sennockians are taking up places at Oxford or Cambridge, while 53 are taking up places at one of the London colleges including LSE, UCL, KCL and Imperial. Other popular university destinations were Durham, Exeter, Warwick, Edinburgh and York. This year 26 students took up places at top US or Canadian universities, while another 11 made successful applications to European or other international universities.
The Sciences remain a popular subject choice (40 students), followed by Combined Honours and Liberal Arts (30), and Economics and Business (27). History, Politics and International Relations (24), Geography, Law, Psychology and Languages all continue to attract large numbers of applicants. Fourteen students will take up a place to study Medicine. Thirty-six students opted to take a gap year, with three of those holding deferred offers.
With the competition for places becoming ever fiercer, this is a tremendous record of achievement, and we wish all our new undergraduates every success in their higher education and future careers.
