Since students launched our Ukraine Crisis Appeal at the beginning of March, together as a school community we have raised over £25,000 for the British Red Cross.
At the end of the Lent term, over 1100 people have generously given to the appeal. This is enough to fund:
- 121 fully equipped first aid kits for first aiders
- 1275 kitchen sets for families forced to flee their homes
- 2550 monthly hygiene kits to enable a family to stay healthy
Recent student fundraising activities include the International Centre’s International Evening which raised over £800.
The editors of The Penny Argus, our student magazine, have also raised awareness of the appeal and have been asking for donations in the latest edition.
Students also conducted an interview with Dr Amjad Saleem (OS 1994) who talked about the work of the Red Cross in Ukraine and how we can all best help support those in need.
You can still donate to the appeal here.
