Technology students visit Rolls Royce site

Share article:

It was a real privilege for Technology students to visit Rolls Royce this week. We had a guided tour from Ricardo, the Technical Assistant to Group Chief Engineer, Old Sennockian Philip Ruffles CBE, an aerospace engineer renowned for his work on the development and design of world-leading gas turbine engines as the Director of Engineering at Rolls Royce.

The students were granted access to the Heritage Centre, Technology Centre, the test bed and engine assembly area. Their STEM ambassadors were on hand with an interactive session and questions about their apprenticeship scheme. Unfortunately, weather conditions meant we were forced to cut the trip short, but we had a fascinating visit and we look forward to working with Rolls Royce and their ambassadors in the future.
