Sevenoaks students also raised £850 this week for Sport Relief, running a mile in fancy dress on the school athletics track.

The students, all in Years 7 and 8, ran four laps of the track on Wednesday, in a whole variety of colourful outfits, completing the task enthusiastically.

Parents, staff and friends sponsored them through the Sport Relief website.

Director of Sport James Emmitt said, ‘We are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2016. As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, it brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.’ The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
