Students enjoy half term ski trip to Les Menuires

What an incredible week of skiing I had in Les Menuires this half term. Having never skied before I was in the total beginners group, looking in awe at the people skiing down the black slopes with ease… little did I know that at the end of the week that would be me. This is due to the excellent instructors who coached us throughout the week. Although they weren’t fluent, they had pretty good English and we really enjoyed talking to them about their lives in Les Menuires. Our hotel was situated in a little town, which was lovely because every evening after a long day of skiing we would go to the crêperie next door and buy a delicious crêpe! The food was delicious and plentiful and it was amazing to go in after a mornings skiing for a warm lunch ready for the afternoon. Every evening after dinner, we had organised activities all being very enjoyable – my favourite was going on the speed mountain roller-coaster just a short walk from our hotel. The teachers made this trip very enjoyable and made their best efforts to keep us safe, whilst allowing us independence and to have as much fun as possible. Having been on many trips in my 3 years of being at the school, the ski trip was my ultimate favourite.
