Hana Yun-Stevens was shortlisted for the 2019 John Locke Institute Essay Competition, which invites students to explore a wide range of challenging and interesting questions beyond the school curriculum.
Ben Spires was highly commended in the Robinson College, Cambridge essay competition. The Essay Prize is designed to encourage students to develop and showcase their independent study and writing skills.
James King has made it to the final of the Martin Garner Spurn Young Birder event, an event for young ornithologists. The day involves sea watching, experiencing visible migration, watching birds on the Humber and in the bushes and answering a couple of theory questions.
