Student Achievements

We have had some excellent achievements from our students over the holidays.

Hana Yun-Stevens was shortlisted for the 2019 John Locke Institute Essay Competition, which invites students to explore a wide range of challenging and interesting questions beyond the school curriculum.

Ben Spires was highly commended in the Robinson College, Cambridge essay competition. The Essay Prize is designed to encourage students to develop and showcase their independent study and writing skills.

James King has made it to the final of the Martin Garner Spurn Young Birder event, an event for young ornithologists. The day involves sea watching, experiencing visible migration, watching birds on the Humber and in the bushes and answering a couple of theory questions.


Lachlan Edwards has won the RCMJD Ian Stoutzker Grade 8 Violin Prize for his fantastic distinction.

Anna Power was awarded a distinction in her LTCL diploma. 

Old Sennockians

Hannah Trigg (OS 2019) has been awarded The Leeds University Business School Peter J Buckley International Business Achievement Scholarship.

Christy Chan (OS 2018) has been awarded the Imperial College Alumni Association of Hong Kong Scholarship and the Institute of Engineering and Technology Diamond Jubilee Scholarship sponsored by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.
