Curling
Oscar Petter took part in the English Junior Curling play-downs. This means he was part of a team who were competing to be selected to represent England (U21/Juniors).
Fencing
Congratulations to Woser Prosser on coming third at the British Youth Championships, representing south-east England. He is now ranked third in Great Britain in the Under 14 foil category.
Sophie Rayment came 13th in the Under 16 girls sabre at the same championships.
Hockey
Well done to the U14 team who competed in the England Hockey Investec U14 Girls’ Schools Championship finals, representing the East of England. A draw and a win in the group stages meant the team finished as the fifth best team in the country! They were a credit to the school at all times and had to play through terrible rain and cold, showing real grit and determination.
Netball
Congratulations to Elysia Kleine-Deters, who has been successful in the recent round of London Pulse U17 trials.
Rugby
Congratulations to Kieran Sassone, who has been offered a full-time academy contract with Harlequins.
Swimming
Some senior level (15+) swimmers raced at the SE Regional finals in Wycombe over the bank holiday weekend. Ellie Vowell qualified for five events and came in sixth in the 50m butterfly. Sarah Williams qualified in three events.
The U14s listed below will be racing over the next two weekends at the U14 SE Regional Championships in Crawley: Louis Hayes has qualified in 13 events and Zac Raymond in five. Elspeth Watson has qualified for 11 events, Emily Brown for ten, Kara Dimond in three events and Eleanor Allen in one event.
Tennis
The 1st, U16 and U14 girls competed at the prestigious Harpenden doubles tournament over the weekend.
Staff achievements
John Witton completed the Thames Path 100-mile race from Richmond to Oxford in a time of 20 hours 28 minutes, beating his previous best by 7.5 hours.
