Sporting highlights 8 June

Athletics Cameron Roberts, Jack Marsch, James Yun-Stevens and Benjamin De Sousa have all been selected to compete for Kent. The Year 10 team has secured a place in the ESSA Track and Field Final at the Guildford Spectrum on Friday 12 June.

CricketOur Primary Schools Cricket Tournament on Friday, organised by Chris Tavaré, was a great success. The participating schools had a fantastic afternoon. Congratulations to Sevenoaks Primary who won the competition.

Football Jamie Campbell has been selected to represent the Kent Arsenal Academy.

Rounders Our teams won eight out of ten matches this weekend vs Benenden, King’s Canterbury and Sutton Valence.

Tennis The senior boys won against Bede’s B team 10-12 in their midweek Aegon Cup match. They now face Bede’s A in the final regional round. If they win that they will represent Kent/Sussex at the national finals in July. They also won the Kent Cup quarter-final vs Beths Grammar 6-0.

Our U13 and U12 girls had a very successful day at the Benenden Festival of Tennis where they came away with gold (Charlotte Imbert, Phoebe Buckland) silver (Michelle Li and Kate Lyttle) and bronze (Juliette Briery and Elysia Klein-Deters) medals.

Kent Doubles: Evie Williams and Barkat Mehra won the Year 9/10 girls competition, while Sasha Stead and Rory Welsh won the Year 7/8 boys competition and Nic Clinton and Mahmoud Farrag won the Y7/8 boys plate competition.

On Saturday against New Hall the girls had a very successful day, managing a clean sweep of wins across all seven teams. The boys 1st and U15A won their matches while the U13A were less successful, losing theirs.
