Cricket

Congratulations to Head of Cricket Dave Smith and Tunbridge Wells cricket club who finished as Group A winners in the European cricket tournament this week. They return to Malaga next month to play in the finals looking to take the European top spot.

Cross country

Ben Catchpole has been selected for the Kent squad for the forthcoming English Schools’ Cross Country Championships. This competition showcases the top talent from around the country, with each county selecting their top eight athletes, per age group, to compete against the rest of England.

Fencing

Amelie Tsang (Y11) represented Great Britain at the Cadet (U17) EFC event in Poznan, Poland. In the individual competition she finished sixth out of 167 fencers and fifth out of 32 in the team competition.

Amelie has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Cadet and Junior European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Woser Prossor (L6) represented Great Britain at the Junior (U20) World Cup in Sabadell, Spain. He finished 109th out of 175 fencers.

Football

Bethan and Ffion Thomas were selected to represent the Prep School Lions U13 and U12s football squads respectively. They will head to Sweden over the summer to play in the Gothia Cup.

Ffion’s West Kent District team have qualified for the national U12s finals in the main cup competition – they will play Liverpool in the final.

Bethan recently led the West Kent U13 girls to the league title in the Kent U14s league. They were the only U13s side in the league and defeated the West Kent U14s girls 4-2 on a Friday night at Royal Russel to clinch the league.

Hockey

It was a superb day of hockey for our U16 tournament side at the U16 Tier 3 National Hockey Finals. They were eventual runners up after being defeated by Lord Wandsworth in the final, but they improved every minute throughout the day and were a credit to themselves, and the school.

Netball

An amazing night of netball at the Copper Box Arena as 54 Sevenoaks students and staff watched London Pulse beat Wasps 52-35 in the Super League. Our girls loved their first netball experience and cannot wait to put all they have learnt into action.

Swimming

Our teams performed well at the prestigious Weald and Downland Cup. The U16 and U14 girls won their competitions, the senior and U14 boys finished second, while the senior girls and U16 boys finished third.

Tennis

Congratulations to Tommy Cuomo who won a key tennis tournament at Club La Meridiana in Italy over half term. He also had a narrow loss in a Grade 3 U14 final in Sutton. Tommy has also been accepted for a Tennis Europe Category 3 tournament qualifying in Rotterdam.
