Half term rugby, netball and squash camps

We ran several sport training camps during half term at the Sennocke Centre, with the rugby camp supported by Saracens RFC Academy. All were extremely successful.

Cross country

Our students gave excellent performances at the Schools at Somerhill cross country event. The U13 girls finished first (Anais Fernandez-Laaksonen second) and the boys finished third (Tom Phillips fourth).

Football

Congratulations to Dan Healy who has been selected in the U18 Kent squad.

Hockey

Congratulations to the U18 side who reached the regional finals. It was not the day they would have wished for but represented the school with real commitment and good grace.

Sailing

Congratulations to Nicholas Davies who has been selected for the Swiss Youth National Sailing Talent Pool in the Laser Radial category following the recent selection camp held at the Swiss Olympic Centre in Ipsach, Switzerland. This will entitle Nicholas to a Swiss Olympic Card for 2017-2018 and to attend winter trainings with the Talent Pool at various locations in Southern Europe during the winter period.

Swimming

Nine school teams have qualified for the ESSA National Schools relay finals; this is the best achievement by Sevenoaks to date and possibly by any school in the country.

Louis Hayes is now ranked number one in GB for 50m freestyle and has also broken the Kent all-time 50m backstroke record; outstanding achievements.

Tennis

Congratulations Hugo Coquelin! Winner of the U12 winter national title, and he didn’t drop a set in the whole tournament.
