Cross country

Some 30 students ran in the Kent Schools’ Championships, from which successful runners are selected for Kent in the inter-counties held later this term. The results were:

Year 7 girls: Esther Adcock (18), Phoebe Gough-Cooper (20)

Junior girls: Maddie Wise (Champion) Telia Green (10), Teniqua Gomez (17), Isabelle Fox (38)
Junior boys: Finn Croll (6), Oliver Hill (10), Fenton Davoren (21), Tom Phillips (44), Aidan Durant (72)
Inter girls: Meghan Watson (12), Isabella Gomez (23), Rhiannon Durant (29), Tamira Kitchens (34), Isla Jenne (44)
Inter boys: Ingmar Gunn (16), Ryan Cherian (43), Theo Duke (53)
Senior girls: Phoebe Barker (Champion) Grace Fleming (3), Carlotta Weitzel (4), Clara Tyler (8), Lara Gueorguieva (18)
Senior boys: James Elgar (10), Charles Lindsay (19), Robert Perry (22), Will Greig (31), Matt Emmerson (32)

A good number got through to the inter-counties where they will represent Kent.


In the league we won seven out of ten fixtures versus Christ’s Hospital.


Our teams won eight out of ten matches versus King’s Canterbury last week.


The senior boys finished second at the prestigious Tonbridge Trophy swimming gala, beating Tonbridge, Dulwich, Charterhouse, Wellington, Winchester and Reed’s.

At the Kent swimming championships, two students won medals.Congratulations to Elspeth Watson (silver 400m IM) and Louis Hayes (gold 400m IM and 400m freestyle).


Well done to our senior boys and girls who have qualified for the next regional round of the senior students’ national cup. The mixed doubles teams have also qualified. They are all now one win away from reaching the nationals.
