The PE and Sport department enjoyed an incredibly busy week, welcoming ex-England rugby player Tom May to speak at a networking evening and give a lecture to all our sport scholars. We also held a successful 11+ Scholarship assessment day with some very strong candidates, and ran an U13 football tournament for prep schools.
Cricket
Rhys Joseph has been invited to the join the Academy Fast Bowling programme as an Associate member for the third year running.
Cross Country
Sabrina Sinha won an adult Kent League race; an amazing achievement. At the Lancing race, the inter boys and girls won their races and the senior boys finished third.
Golf
Congratulations to Daniel Shields who has qualified for the Junior European Open Golf Championship in Spain. This is a fantastic achievement.
Hockey
Our teams gained eight wins out of nine against Sutton Valence although four results are still to be submitted. This was another brilliant weekend for the hockey sides.
Rugby
We saw some excellent results for the 1st, 2nd, U15A, U14A and U14B sides this weekend.
Swimming
Lily Snell competed in the regional championships. She picked up five national qualifying times plus a silver in the 200m freestyle.
Taekwondo
Kai Meadows passed his Second Degree and is now Tae Kwon Do Second Degree Black Belt.
