Sevenoaks has been selected as one of the top 20 schools in the country by School Sports Magazine, which also features an interview with Director of Sport James Emmitt in the most recent issue.

Cross Country

Sevenoaks did well at the Kent Cross Country Schools Championships, with Maddie Wise second in the Year 7 girls (9:23), and Ingmar Gunn and Ryan Cherian finishing fifth and sixth in the junior boys, with only one second between them. In the intermediate age group, Phoebe Barker’s foot was recovered sufficiently to allow her to finish in third with a time of 13:48, with Clara Tyler eighth, while Cameron Roberts was also eighth in 20:04 (only 51 seconds behind the winning time), and James Elgar impressed with a 12th position finish in 20:31. There were also excellent finishes by Elliott Webb, Meghan Watson, Vita de Munck, Jess Oliver and others.

UKA/British Athletics have selected Sabrina Sinha for the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE Programme).


Sophie Rayment and Miranda Stevens were part of the South East England women’s sabre team which won the Cadet Winton’ competition just before Christmas.


Apart from students involved in sailing, every single boy in Year 9 represented the school at football against Epsom College on Thursday.


The U14 side won 2-1 versus Bromsgrove in a brilliant display and have now qualified for the national finals.


The U16 side finished second at the regional finals and have qualified for the nationals, while the U14 team finished third at the regional finals.


Emily Das won the 100m breaststroke and the Kent School Championships and progresses to regional stage.
