Sporting Highlights

Michaelmas results and participation

This term we have seen just under 60 per cent wins across all sports, with junior football at 72.9 per cent, rugby 55.9 per cent and hockey 60 per cent. Over the term we have competed in 438 fixtures and run 70 teams across 12 sports.

Badminton

The U14 boys and U16 girls and boys are district champions and progress to the county finals.

Cross country

Maddie Wise (Year 8) came 12th at the South-East Inter-Counties, representing Kent.

Cricket

Henry Procter has been offered a place in the Surrey U15 CAG (County Age Group).

Dressage

Juliette Lindsay has been selected for the British Dressage High Performance squad Training, which is Lottery funded.

Football

There was an excellent end to season for the Lower School football sides who played Sevenoaks Town FC. The A team has won 18 out 20 fixtures and also finished fourth at the national six-a-side competition.

Hockey

Our teams won nine out of 12 fixtures at the weekend, including an unbeaten season for the U15A and 2nd XI sides.

Flo Adcock, Grace Annetts, Sophie Dargan, Zoe Eifion-Jones, Claire Morgan, Orissa Welsh, Rosie Peachey, Louisa Webb, Jess Wentzel and Lauren Tucker have all been selected for the England Performance Centre.

Outreach

Last week we held a conference for sporting girls, InspireHer: Women In Sport, run by PRC Elite. Speakers included Crista Cullen (GB Gold Hockey), Pamela Cookey (England Netball), Gail Emms (GB Silver Badminton) and Amy Williams (Olympic Gold Skeleton).
