16 January 2017

We had a very successful weekend of sport despite the cancellation of several fixtures due to poor weather.

Lucinda White has been invited to attend a Javelin Training Camp at Loughborough University being run by David Parker, UK Athletics National Javelin Coach.

Cross Country

At the Senior Knole Run, Phoebe Barker won the girls’ race, breaking the course record in the snow! Sabrina Sinha finished second and Maddie Wise (Year 8) finished fifth, an amazing achievement. The team consisting of Phoebe, Sabrina, Maddie, Carlotta Weitzel, Clara Tyler and Meghan Watson won the race with a total of 44 points. The boys’ A team came tenth in their race. Congratulations to all who participated.

Last weekend Maddie Wise won the Kent Cross Country Championships for her age group (U13) and Anais Fernandez-Laaksonen came ninth. Meghan Watson was tenth in the U15 girls’ race and Isla Jenne 38th. Carlotta Weitzel was tenth in the U17 girls, Grace Fleming 11th and Clara Tyler 16th.
