Athletics
Congratulations to Lucinda White who is now ranked number one in the country for javelin in her age group.
In last weekend’s fixtures against Epsom College the junior athletics team finished first and all teams finished second overall.
Badminton
At the Badminton Six Nations in Denmark Rory Easton (Year 11) won a gold medal with his partner, taking the Mixed U17 title. He also was part of the England team which won a silver medal, and he won a bronze medal in the men’s singles.
Cricket
Congratulations to Thomas Allen who has been selected to represent Switzerland (U19) this summer at a four-nation tournament in Berlin.
Cross country
Phoebe Barker represented GB at the World Championships. She also ran at the London Mini Marathon on Sunday as well as Maddie Wise and Carlotta Weitzel. Phoebe finished a brilliant sixth place and Maddie finished 34th in the U13 age group (third best in SE region). Carlotta was 17th in her age group in the Borough Challenge. The Virgin Money Giving Mini London Marathon is the official British Athletics three-mile road championships for young athletes aged between 11 and 17.
Curling
The mixed team are now English Schools Novice Curling Champions. Congratulations also to the boys team (second) and the girls team (fifth) who performed brilliantly at the recent Open Junior Championships: Ben Williams, Oscar Petter, Helena Kiggell, Tabitha Bolter and Charlotte Foord.
Fencing
Congratulations to the following students who competed at Challenge Wratislava, an international competition involving over 200 international fencers: Harry Couchman (121st, U15 Boys Epee), Sophie Rayment (75th, U15 Girls Sabre) and Woser Prossor (146th, U13 Boys Foil) Sophie also won the bronze medal for girls sabre at the Valerie Degorce International Fencing Competition.
Netball
We enjoyed an excellent netball tour to Euro Disney where the U15 team finished fifth.
Sailing
Congratulations to Cossie Lewis who has been selected to represent the British 420 team in the 420 European Championships in Athens and the 420 World Championships in Perth.
Shooting
Congratulations to our shooting team who won the Russell Shield for division performance in the West Kent Rifle League.
Show jumping
Abi Scott, Charlie Bailey and Katie Clyne finished first at the National Schools Equestrian Association grassroots round while Abi won the individual competition. All riders progress to the next round.
Squash
The squash teams performed brilliantly at the Kent Schools Cup. The senior and junior boys reached the semi-finals and the girls finished as runners-up.
Tennis
Our teams won two out of four matches versus Cranleigh in weekend fixtures while the boys finished second at the Independent Schools League first round.
