Cross country

We sent all four teams to the regionals at Judd School. The inter girls (1st) and inter boys (3rd) both qualified for the national finals. The junior boys finished eighth and the junior girls finished seventh.

Tim McLain was selected by Tonbridge athletics club to run in the A team at the National Cross Country Relays in Mansfield.

Curling

Oscar Petter has been accepted for a second year onto the Elite Junior Curling Programme (England) and Helena Kiggell has also gained a place onto the Elite Junior Curling Programme (England). Only 16 junior players (U21) get a place, so they have done really well.

Fencing

Congratulations to Piero Steiner who won gold at the Leon Paul Elite Epee Junior Series U17. This places him first in the rankings and ensures him a place in the grand final.

Football

Our U15 football side reached the third round of the Kent Cup after beating Oakwood Park Grammar.

Congratulations to James Davies who qualified as a Kent FA referee.

Futsal

Congratulations to the U13 team who won the U13 futsal tournament hosted by Sevenoaks School.

Hockey

Our 1st team finished second at the county U18 indoor hockey tournament.

The U14C team finished second in Tier 3 regional finals. It was their hockey tournament for most and they gained some great results: W4, D1, L1.

The U14A team performed brilliantly at the regionals and finished the day with an 8-0 win to reach the regional finals.

The U14s join the U16s and U18s (our 2nd XI) at the regional finals; a great result as it’s unusual for us to have three teams there.

Netball

The U14 squad have progressed through to the county finals. They had a successful day at the qualifying rounds, scoring 52 goals and conceding only 3.

Taekwondo

Congratulations to Alex and Thomas Hayward who achieved their 3rd Degree black belts and are now 3rd Dan Black Belts.

Tennis

Massive congratulations to the Years 7-8 team who have reached the schools’ national cup South East regional finals after beating Reed’s, one of the best tennis schools in the country.

Congratulations to Serena Manca who was recently selected to represent the South East in a LTA regional match.

Last week was a good week for tennis at Sevenoaks, with the mixed senior team winning their first round match of this year’s competition.

Old Sennockians

Congratulations to Anthony Lunch (OS 1963) who has been awarded the Royal Yachting Association Lifetime commitment award, which will be presented by HRH The Princess Royal.
