Sevenoaks has impressive training facilities with a 25-metre swimming pool situated in the Sennocke Centre complex. Swimming is a representative sport at Sevenoaks with teams competing in the Junior, Middle and Senior School galas. The swimming programme provides coaching at the highest level and our swimmers are challenged to reach their potential.

Swimming at Sevenoaks is open to students who have a strong background in aquatics. Pupils can participate across a range of swimming disciplines and many of the squad swimmers take part in the weekly water polo sessions. Swimming is taught throughout the school in Years 7 to 9 and talented swimmers are encouraged to join team squads and compete in school galas.

The swimming season runs from the Michaelmas term to the Lent half term. The school competes at junior, intermediate and senior level and boys and girls are entered in the Kent Swimming Championships. Five training sessions per week are available for the squad swimmers, many of whom have been very successful over the last three years in the county and inter-county finals. We currently have a number of swimmers who are part of both Kent County and national academies.

The school has a full-time Senior Swimming Coach, Jon Yates, who also is a member of the Sevenoaks Swimming Club coaching staff.
