Netball

Netball continues to go from strength to strength at Sevenoaks, with more and more players climbing the netball ladder. We compete in all five age groups at county level, with recent successes including the U14 title and seeing the U19 finish runners-up.

Netball is a popular Lent term sport with 14 teams competing on Saturdays and eight junior teams throughout the week. Opposition includes Wellington College, Epsom College, Haileybury, Christ’s Hospital, Ardingly, Beneden, Cranleigh, Haileybury, Hurstpierpoint College, Eastbourne and King’s Canterbury.

Specialist coaching is available at all levels and the school uses the excellent indoor courts in the Sennocke Centre and the three new additional outdoor courts. Training and practice sessions include dynamic ball skills, tactical movement patterns, high intensity play and fitness work.

As a Year 10 scholar it has been an invaluable opportunity to play in the 1st team for netball and reach the regionals. It was a great experience and really benefited my county training!

Recent international tours include Barbados and St Lucia for the senior girls, and an international tournament at Disneyland Paris for the Lower and Middle School players.
