One hundred and fifty residential and non-residential students attended the Sevenoaks School IB Summer Review Course in August 2015.
The purpose of the courses is to provide students who have completed the first year of their IB Diploma with a structured review of content and skills covered in the subjects they chose to study on the course. Students receive 15.5 hours of subject teacher content time over three days as well as the opportunity to sign up for individual subject specific, Internal Assessment, Extended Essay and/or Personal Statement advice.
Approximately half of the students attending currently study at Sevenoaks School, with the other fifty per cent coming from other UK schools, including Haileybury, KCS Wimbledon, Malvern, Tonbridge Grammar and Cheltenham Ladies’ College, and from international schools around the world: Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Luxembourg, Bermuda, Ukraine, Rwanda, Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, Italy, Singapore, Spain and Uganda.
The students benefited from first rate teaching mainly from the expertise of Sevenoaks School staff and also enjoyed the use of the school’s outstanding sports facilities.
