Sevenoaks School hosted two primary school cricket tournaments in the summer term, for 10 primary schools from Sevenoaks and surrounding villages.
Otford Primary School were the outstanding team in this year’s Division 2 Tournament. They won all three of their matches against Dunton Green, St Lawrence and Weald primary schools. These three schools themselves won one match each.
Ightham Primary School were the Division 1 winners for the third time in six years, with an emphatic win over close rivals Amherst. Six schools took part in two divisions, the other four being Ide Hill, Sevenoaks, St John’s and St Thomas’ Primary Schools.
The events were very well supported by parents and grandparents and, on warm sunny afternoons, had a festival atmosphere.
