After a successful re-launch, the first edition of Catalyst was awarded a Rising Star award at the Shine School Media Awards.

A group of students in Lower Sixth re-started the science magazine in the Lent term and produced the first edition in a new format, with contributions from students across the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. The Shine School Media Awards recognised this new publication as one with fantastic potential, earning them a Rising Star Award.

The student team have been working hard during this time of distance learning to create the next edition of the magazine which focuses largely on climate change. The newly released second edition of the magazine ‘Planet Earth’ is available online now. Click here to read.

The Shine School Media Awards is a national competition that rewards a diversity of talent from secondary schools across the UK who work on the writing, editing, design and fund-raising for a school newspaper, magazine, podcast or website.

Huge well done to the students on this incredible achievement.
