Our friendly and lively boarding house (now for students from Year 9+)
Lambardes was built in 1965 and was the only Lower School and co-educational boarding house at Sevenoaks. Please note from 2018 we will no longer offer boarding places for Lower School students. Our boarding provision will increase from 2019, with the development of 2 new boarding houses, to accommodate additional students from 13+.
I thought I would miss my family a lot, and although I do, I have such a great time here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
Lambardes is a small close-knit family atmosphere, with approximately only 20 children. Boarders at Lambardes make lasting friendships and form a strong sense of identity that lasts throughout their time at the school. More than half the students are from overseas, so weekends are a lot of fun, with most children staying in the boarding house, rather than going home. The house is comfortable and welcoming, with very good facilities, and boarders can enjoy social events and trips every Sunday.
The Housemistress, Mrs Caroline Dyer, lives in the house with her husband, and their children are now at University. The Assistant Housemistress, Mrs Celia Duran-Oreiro, lives in the house with her husband, Mr Andrew Day, and their small son. There are also two matrons, Mrs Ronnie Campbell, and Mrs Lydia Umney.
