The weekend of 12-13 of March saw 25 of the top teams from all over the country come to Bough Beech Sailing Club to compete at the UK Team Racing Nationals 2016.
There was a good mix of school, university and senior teams all vying for the senior national title. The Sevenoaks School 1st team put in an excellent performance to finish 11th overall; they were comfortably the top school team and finished ahead of a number of university and senior teams, notably including Oxford and Bristol.
In their first competition as a team they showed great skills against much more experienced teams and demonstrated great potential. As we progress towards the inter-school regional and school national championships in the Summer term, Sevenoaks will look to repeat their unbeaten season from last year.
