During July, seven boats represented Sevenoaks at the 2017 RS Feva World Championships in Medemblik, Holland. Nearly 180 boats competed for five days with the Sevenoaks sailors arriving early for some pre-regatta training at the venue. The 354 competitors raced through a variety of conditions, ranging from light shifty wind to strong breeze with up to 1.5m waves. Despite some lengthy days on the water, launching around 09:00 and returning to the clubhouse at the latest of 19:30, our team had a successful regatta.
Three Sevenoaks teams qualified for the 56-strong Gold fleet, and four raced amongst 56 boats in the Silver fleet.
