Sevenoaks sent eight boats down to the 2016 RS Feva Nationals held at Weymouth and Portland Sailing Centre, the venue for the Olympic sailing competitions in 2012. The event took place over four days (28-31 May) and saw 110 boats taking part from all over the UK and some from overseas. The Sevenoaks sailors had a great time with many experiencing racing in such a big fleet for the first time.
Two Sevenoaks boat, Matthew and Becky Caiger, Nicholas Davies and Annabel Richards, qualified for the gold fleet and overall the team took home the trophy for first-placed school team, ahead of Oakham and Tonbridge School.
