On a warm, sunny afternoon, Sevenoaks School hosted the second of their Primary School cricket tournaments on Friday 10 June. Division 1 was made up of teams from Amherst, Ightham, Meopham, Sevenoaks and St Thomas’s. Sevenoaks and Amherst finished top of their respective groups. Thus the final was a repeat of last year’s match, which Sevenoaks Primary School won. Batting first Amherst lost crucial early wickets to some excellent bowling from Sevenoaks’ opening attack, who were then able to chase down a modest Amherst total fairly comfortably. Thus Sevenoaks were winners for the second year running.
