On Friday 23 November, we hosted the annual primary school 5 a-side football tournament. Seven local primary schools attended the tournament: Amherst, Four Elms, St George’s, St Lawrence, Saint Thomas’, Weald and Wrotham. Head of Football at Sevenoaks School, Jack Jarvis, was very impressed with the high standard of football on display.
Jack Stanton from St George’s was awarded Golden Gloves for the best goalkeeper of the day, St Lawrence won the Spirit of Football award and Nilan Van Assche from Saint Thomas’ won player of the day. Joint runners-up were Weald Community Primary School and Amherst Primary School. The overall tournament winners were Saint Thomas’ Primary.
Well done to everyone that took part in what was a fantastic afternoon of football.
