On Friday 10 November, Sevenoaks School hosted the primary schools’ five a-side indoor football tournament for the ninth year. The afternoon was a great success with some outstanding football played by all participating schools: Amherst, Otford, Lady Boswell’s, St George’s, St Matthew’s, St Thomas’ and Weald Primary.
Amherst set the pace early on, scoring nine goals without conceding in their first two games. Another school to impress early on was St Thomas’ Catholic Primary who won their first three games before drawing with Amherst in a very close-fought match.
St Thomas’ continued their winning streak to become overall winners, with Amherst finishing as very close runners-up. Player of the day went to the exceptional Nehemiah Oriola of St George’s Church of England Primary School.
