Outreach Boxes

Share article:

This month we launched our new outreach box initiative. The scheme is designed as a way of sharing fun and specialist learning resources among the primary schools in our local network. The contents include everything from micro:bits for coding, virtual reality headsets, state-of the-art microscopes and cameras, to fossils and a full size skeleton. The boxes cover a range of subjects and are aimed at KS1, KS2 and KS3 curriculum needs. Each box is different and contains enough equipment for the whole class, and comes complete with step-by-step instructions for using the equipment, together with suggested lesson plans to make it easy for teachers to pick up and use.

We have been incredibly fortunate over the last couple of years to work closely with many of our local schools, running events, workshops, teacher training, and hosting many of the partnership meetings.Through these interactions we are regularly asked if we can assist with resources for the classroom, and whilst we cannot provide resources for each school, we have been able to start loaning equipment for free, like a library of useful classroom resources.

The School’s Outreach programme is generously supported by the Sevenoaks School Foundation and its benefactors.
