Charity Concert

On 3 December, students and staff participated in a charity concert to raise money for Young Minds, a charity that supports young people aged 14-25 with their mental health.

The night consisted of a competition of variety acts performed by both students and teachers with a vote to decide the final winners. We aimed to raise awareness as well as funds for the charity, to do this we had a speech at the start and a video, and as well as ticket sales to raise funds we had a cake sale and received many donations. The whole event was hugely successful as we had an almost full audience of 277 people all enjoying themselves and learning about the charity.

In the end the teachers came out on top and the whole concert was finished off with a joint song of ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by Queen. Our total amount raised from the night was £2276.79 which will greatly help Young Minds with their mission; to make sure all young people get the best possible mental health support and learn how to overcome life’s challenges.
