Basketball

The 1st team won their first match of the year with a really courageous effort to come from behind against Christ’s Hospital.

Cross Country

At the King Henry VIII’s Relays (national x country relays), the boys finished a creditable 14th and the girls finished 2nd with 3rd fastest time ever on the course and Sabrina Sinha broke the individual course record. Many students performed well at the Inter counties including Sabrina who won the senior girls race.

Football

Our teams achieved wins in almost all matches this weekend during an excellent day of fixtures versus Christ’s Hospital.

Rugby

The U13A side reached the final of the Solefields 10s tournament involving some prestigious prep schools.

Shooting

Congratulations to the shooting team who defeated Cambridge University in a recent shoulder to shoulder match. Cambridge have a fearsome reputation and this is the first time we have beaten them.

Squash

The U15 girls’ team (Ines Deeley, Lara Gueorguieva, Shona Oliver, Ella Roberts, Georgie Stephens and Abi Scott) continued their unbeaten record by claiming a 5-1 victory over Walthamstow Hall. The U15 boys squash team (Jai Sahni, Thomas Bristow, Ernest Lok, Alex Hayward, Vincent Wong and Tristan Hayman) also beat Trinity College 5-1.

Swimming

At the Kent Championships, Lily Snell won junior and open age group 100m freestyle long course in 58.77 secs, just 0.3 of a sec shy of a second Olympic trials time. Lily has just been accepted into the National Youth squad based at the London Olympic pool (LAC performance centre). Ellie Vowell won the 100 and 200m freestyle long course (age 13) with a superb close finish of 1/100 of a second.

Louis Hayes won gold in the 100m backstroke for his age group, and now ranks second in Great Britain. He also won gold in the 100m Freestyle, bronze in 200m Freestyle, bronze in 100m breaststroke and came fourth in two other races. Great swims!
