A team of Year 10 students have won the South East Regional Chemistry Challenge run by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
After winning the Kent area Chemistry Challenge earlier in the year, Year 10 students, Isabella Hall, Lucy Hudson, Pascal Knowle and John Xie travelled down the University of Greenwich for the prestigious final event on Tuesday afternoon.
The team of four competed against Radley College, Wilson’s School and North Bridge School in a circuit of four chemistry activities. Each activity exercised different strengths; one memory based test, one knowledge based and two practical challenges.
The Sevenoaks team worked with complete focus, cooperated well and divided tasks effectively within the team. There was an air of excitement as they encountered each new challenge and the dedication to each task was impressive. The outcome was a well-earned win over the other teams and they were rewarded with certificates and a voucher.< Back
