The Symphony Orchestra is the school's senior orchestra. Comprised of some 60 students, the orchestra plays at an exceptionally high standard, enabling students to fine-tune their orchestral abilities in a demanding yet extremely rewarding environment. Recent successes include their performance of Mahler's 1st Symphony and Dvořák's famous 9th Symphony; "From the New World".
For many students, Symphony Orchestra is the biggest and most exciting playing opportunity they have had to date. For others, it is preparation to go on to national organisations, such as the National Youth Orchestra. The group always presents a skilled and impressive performance whenever it performs in concert.
Symphony Orchestra gives me a great feeling when we're able to work in a team to produce something incredible
