The last two weeks of term saw a successful run of concerts, with the Lower School Musicians’ Platform, the final performance from our current Chamber Choir, an informal concert with premieres of student compositions, the Show of Support for Maggie’s Centre (raising £1137.50 to date), the Open Musicians’ Platform and the Jazz Platform concert. Nicholas Peh gave a farewell concert on Tuesday 26 June, including a composition he has written this year.
We had a wonderful Can Do 3 concert on Wednesday 27 June, featuring performances from staff across the school from singing to dancing, raising money for PROMO.
There was a wonderful finale concert on Founder’s Day featuring Maddy Brown (Y11 leaver), Annabel Liu (L6) and Agnes Wu (L6), who performed movements from Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Mozart’s Flute Concerto in D, and Chaminade’s Flute Concertino.
Students enjoyed a fun visit to the Royal Festival Hall to hear Tchaikovsky on 14 June.
Congratulations to students who took Trinity Exams in our final music examination session of the year; lots of merits and distinction grades were achieved!
Goodbye to Miss Kimberley Chan, who will be leaving to Brighton College, and Miss Yulia Vershinina, who will be leaving to pursue further piano teaching.
