66 Y7 pupils undertook the annual week to Tolo in Greece this summer. As has become familiar in recent years we had the usual mix of fun and games on the beach, watersports at Tolo, two boat trips, a beach barbecue, visits to the Venetian fort at Napflion, and a trip to the ancient theatre at Epidaurus. We also visited the Roman ruins and extensive water park at Korinthos. This year’s trip also had some new experiences; the pupils enjoyed running a series of informal races in the recently excavated, landscaped and restored ancient stadium at Nemea and took a long coastal walk along the shores of the Argolic Gulf from Napflion to the wide beach at Karathona.
I am pleased to report that year’s group continued the fine tradition of being complimented on numerous occasions from members of the public and the staff on the trip.
Despite fears of problems arising from the Greek economic situation, everything worked like clockwork and a fine time was had by all.
