On Friday 2 February representatives from Imperial College, The London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London and King’s College London came to speak to our Lower Sixth students.

Liam McHale explained that Imperial is a STEM specialist university, offering ten different engineering specialisms and faculties of medicine and natural sciences.

Scott Gibson of KCL gave an insight into life at King’s, with five different campuses, four teaching hospitals and nine different faculties.

Debbie Nicholls from LSE informed students that LSE is a world-leading social sciences institution, most famous for economics but offering over 40 undergraduate programmes. She also advised students on the application process and what universities are looking for in a top level application.

Jasveer Soor spoke about the values of equality and justice upon which UCL was founded, offering a ‘connective curriculum’ to develop students’ awareness of and connection with the world around them.

The presentation and subsequent question and answer session gave students an informative and fascinating insight into studying at London colleges.
