On 25 – 28 March we welcomed 38 KAN students back to Sevenoaks for the first in-person residential event since 2019.
The weekend was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet with their mentors, socialise with peers and to attend a variety of workshops led by teachers from: Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Benenden – as well as a robotics workshop led by a current Sevenoaks student.
We were delighted to collaborate with Queens College, University of Cambridge, West Kent Mind, 2-3 Degrees and London’s National Gallery, who facilitated insightful and inspiring sessions for the KAN pupils. On the Saturday evening we welcomed Shaa Wasmund, MBE, who delivered a motivating and inspiring message relating to her own journey.
Huge thanks should go to the mentor team who really made the weekend a success, and the students, who, as ever, made the most of the event.
KAN isn’t just network of mentors and mentee’s, it’s one big happy family!
