The Junior Knole Run took place on Friday 18 November on a glorious autumn afternoon in Knole Park. There were two very competitive fields for both the girls’ and the boys’ race.
With competition from over 40 schools, the girls’ race saw 231 athletes finish with Abbie Ives from The Coopers Company and Coburn School taking glory in a fantastic time of 9.34 minutes. Hot on her heels was Maddie Wise from Sevenoaks School (9.58 mins) in second place and Olivia Breed from Sevenoaks Prep School (10.10 mins) in third.
In the team results first place was taken by Sevenoaks School (A team): Maddie Wise (2nd), Anais Fernandez-Laaksonen (5th), Alexandra Evans (13th) and Eleanor Allen (16th) who scored an impressive 36 points. City of London Freemen’s School took second place with 72 points and The Coopers Company and Coburn third with 76 points.
In the boys’ tightly fought race 359 athletes finished, with Fin Croll from Yardley Court leading the way with a time of 12.21 minutes. Theo Cheshire from Freemen’s finished second (12.26 mins), and Matthew Taylor from Skinners’ third (12.35 mins). Yardley Court were the first-placed team with 43 points collected from Fin Croll, Oliver Hill, Ollie Croll and Ethan Page. Coopers’ Coborn took second place with 100 points and Judd were just pipped to third with 101 points.

Well done to all the runners who took part in the Junior Knole Run on Friday. Congratulations to the Sevenoaks girls team who came first overall, with Maddie Wise finishing in 2nd place. The boys team also did incredibly well, finishing in 4th place.
