Many congratulations to the Class of 2016 on their excellent examination results. At 205 students, our cohort is among the biggest of UK and worldwide IB schools, and together they achieved the remarkable average Diploma score of 39.8 points (nine points above the world average).
Seven students achieved the maximum 45 points, with 21 securing 44 points and another 28 securing 43 points. Nearly 60% of the cohort achieved 40 points or more – an exceptional result.
The Head, Dr Katy Ricks, said, ‘We are once again delighted by our students’ performance which is a real credit to their hard work and commitment. Students and their teachers can feel very proud of what they have achieved.’
• 7 students gained the maximum 45 points for the IB Diploma • 21 students gained 44 points • 120 students gained diplomas with 40 or more points • The average points score per student was 39.8
Nearly 150,000 students from over 136 countries will receive their IB results today – this highlights the truly global nature of the IB qualification. The IB’s outlook is needed now more than ever for our young people to prosper in the increasingly global community. This is further re-enforced by the increasing number of our students who opt for international universities, especially in Europe, the US and Canada.
