Learning more about Lawrence’s Roundabout Well Appeal, especially in such a beautiful setting, made for a wonderful evening. The founder of the charity, Virginia Prifti, gave an inspiring speech and I was struck by how such a simple idea- a roundabout that brings up water as children play on it- had made so much difference in the communities of South Africa. The roundabout that our school funded has definitely made a massive impact and has shown me how valuable and impactful our charity weeks are to the charities we raise the money for.
It was a really good experience and I’m really grateful to have had it.
