Sevenoaks School hosted their annual Higher Education information evening on Thursday 25 May. The audience was made up of over 220 Lower Sixth students and their parents.The aim of the event was to offer up-to-date information about applying to UK universities. We were delighted to welcome the following speakers:
Mike Nicholson, Head of Recruitment and Admissions, Bath University
Katy Robinson, Undergraduate Admissions Manager at KCL
Alix Delany, Head of Admissions, UEA
Simon Willis, Head of Admissions and Recruitment, York University
Nick Johnston, Student Recruitment Officer, Durham University
Each of them gave a presentation on a range of themes including universities and the IB, how to choose a course, Personal Statements, selection criteria and opportunities while at university. This was followed by a panel discussion based around pre-submitted questions and some questions from the floor.
It was an extremely informative evening and feedback from students and parents alike was very positive.The evening was organised by Wendy Heydorn, Director of Higher Education and Charlotte Glanville, Assistant Director of Higher Education.
