Just under 300 schools competed in the English Speaking Union Mace Competition this year. The National Finals took place at Dartmouth House where 12 regional champions were invited to compete for the National Title. Gabriela Ivanova and Rebecca Funnell did a fantastic job debating the challenging motion " THBT political parties should be entirely state-funded" in one of the six semi-final schools. Unfortunately the girls did not make it to the final however it was an incredible experience to make it to the Finals Day of this prestigious competition.
