Sevenoaks School boarding pupils had another opportunity to work in the professional kitchen of the Knole Academy Mange Tout Restaurant this year. In the first session they learned knife skills and made pitta bread pizzas and couscous-stuffed tomatoes and peppers. They were instructed in the art of using seasoning and spice, and also learned about food storage and hygiene, as well as the health and financial benefits of cooking from raw ingredients. In the next sessions they hope to make their own soups and sauces for pasta. Huge thanks to Ken and Lucy for a great evening which the pupils really enjoyed.
