SUMMARY:Fabulous French Choral Classics
DESCRIPTION:Sevenoaks Philharmonic Society present their spring concert\, an evening of French choral music contrasting the ethereal beauty of Gabriel Fauré’s 1887 Requiem with Maurice Duruflé’s setting\, written shortly after the second World War in 1947. \nBoth requiems embody a sense of optimism for the hereafter distinguished by their differing musical treatments.To further illustrate these composers’ musical capabilities the programme concludes with two short works new to the choir – Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine and Duruflé’s Ubi Caritas et Amor. \n  \nTickets \n\n£17 Full\n£16 Concessions\n£5 Under 21
